How do I properly set the breakdown voltage of the generic Zener diode? I don't really care to model a specific component like the question on this thread: http://saberforum.net/discussion/55360.

  • Hi,

Thanks for your query on Saber Forum.

There is a generic zener diode model (zd) in Saber library. I hope you are referring to this model. In the properties, there is a property called vzt - zener voltage. Further details on the model and its usage are provided in the model help document.

Attached is a snapshot of the property and its explanation in help document. I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if you have any more queries on this.

    Thanks and regards,

    Thanks Balaji.

    1) Do I need to populate the izt parameter as well? I left it as undef and it seems to work, but I'm not sure what it's assuming when I do that.
    2) To create ideal behavior, should I set rzt to a very small number?
